Raby Sawmill is part of Raby Estate (Shropshire), a private rural estate which has substantial acreages of woodland containing a mixture of hard and softwoods which are FSC certified. The Sawmill was established in 1915 to process timber for use on the estate.

The sawmill was opened to the public 30 years ago to offer locally grown, sustainable timber and a full machining service for restoration, conservation and building schemes across Shropshire and the surrounding counties. Its wealth of experience in managed woodlands and tree selection ensures the highest quality English green oak is used for this specialised market only.
